This is a picture of my pillow. I'm going to have a date with it very soon. The champagne was flowing here in Divaland last night and needless to say we were up very late indeed. I know I've been neglecting the blog these past few days - but some things are bigger than even my love of food and mascara.

I'm not going to wax poetic on that thought, or even expand on it. I'm tired, I'm happy, I'm enormously proud of our country, and I am in need of a bowl of pasta. Fear not, it will be whole wheat, and it will be cloaked in the warm embrace of a rich Bolognese sauce. I can't wait.

So charmed by the idea of that sauce am I, that I'm willing to actually get out of my pajamas and secure the necessary ingredients ... in the rain. The recipe will be posted tomorrow. I'm off to hunt, forage, cook and finally sleep.

Good morning, America, its a brand new day.

I love pillows! We have two per person on our bed at home and for some reason I always end up tossing one of mine aside. Don't know why. Every night. Quirky thing really.

Me too, hektik! We're big pillow freaks here ... I think the husband and I each have three. I should have closed with a question to survey the audience ... pillow prefs. can be quite quirky indeed!

Rock that vote sistah. I too am proud of our country and in dire need of an intimate and lengthy meeting with my pillow.

Back atcha folks! We're celebrating here in the burbs as well. And proud of our fellow Americans! Onward and upward.

And as for pillows, I'm still in search of the perfect one. I'm going to try foam soon and will let you know the results. For now 3 pillows will do.

2 pillows, 1 folded in half.

sounds like you could be suffering from pumpkin burnout! We stayed up way too late on election night as well. I should be catching up on sleep, but I'm in the kitchen baking like a mad woman.
Looking forward to the bolognese sauce as well! Now if you were making puttanesca sauce I'd be calling off work and jumping behind the wheel to get there in time for dinner!

Veriance - ^5! Yes we did! :)

Deb - I'll have to check that one out. My recipe is a quick and easy version - doesn't need to simmer as long and is every bit as good. :)

Pixelgal - the 3 pillow thing must run in the family! LOL

M.C.U. - Me too! The more pillows the better!

Tim Stevens - See, I told you peoples pillow habits were quirky! LOL

Michele - I'm ashamed to admit this ... but I don't think I've ever made puttanesca sauce. How can that be?! I'll have to remedy that and set and extra place for you. :)
